Pastor Jim Richardson
Bio: Jim was raised in Southern California where he lived for 55 years before relocating to Nampa, ID in 2006. He has a 25 year career with Ralph’s Grocery Company in both store operations and marketing. While being bi-vocational, Jim was the founding pastor of a Southern Baptist church plant called Good Shepherd’s Bible Fellowship in 1995. During that time Jim graduated from the Master’s College in Santa Clarita with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry in 2003. Jim joined the New Hope staff in 2009 as the associate pastor and became the Senior Pastor in 2010. Jim’s hobbies include running, reading, exercising and golf. He and his wife, Jan, have three children and eleven grandchildren who all live in the Treasure Valley.
Pastor Paul Benzel
Bio: Paul was raised in the Treasure Valley and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in Language Arts Education in 1995 and from the University of Idaho with a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2002. He has been a middle school teacher for the past 23 years and has been serving here at New Hope as the youth pastor for 14 years. He and his wife Heather serve together, ministering to countless kids over the years. When they are not serving here at New Hope, they attend the various activities that their 3 daughters are involved in. Paul enjoys working on his classic cars, going to concerts, all things 70’s and 80’s, rooting for the Red Socks and hanging out with his family.
Bio: James was raised in the Magic Valley and moved to the Treasure Valley with his wife Jennilyn and 2 daughters in 2001 to pursue a career change with Micron. God brought him and his family to New Hope in 2008. James has served in various ministries over the years and is now serving as the Chairman of the Elder board. He also leads the the men’s breakfast & Bible study every month, is in charge of life groups, membership, and he keeps up the website. In his spare time he enjoys exploring and traveling to new places, ATVing, golfing, basketball and doing projects around the house. He is also now raising a 3rd daughter that God brought into their family a few years ago.
Bio: Scott uses his cover job as a pilot to lead a harrowing and dangerous life of excitement as a secret agent man. His motto: “No Capes!”
Bio: Ken was raised in The Shire. He and his wife Cindy, along with their 4 children, have been part of the New Hope family since selling the Green Dragon Inn and leaving The Shire. Ken has been involved in many ministries including Awana, tech support, Answers in Genesis studies, member care, People Against the Unethical Treatment of Hobbits, and Failed Dragon Thieves Anonymous. Ken has been an Elder for half a year and is currently learning and leading through the maps of Middle Earth.

Bio: Peter does online role-playing as a character on the Brute Squad while lowering his real-life risk of injury.
Bio: Joel aspires to a position on the Brute Squad. He has autographs from both Scott and Tony, and an avatar that is as similar to Peter’s online character as possible.
Bio: Jennilyn plans to star in a new reality show, Star Wreck. Oh, and just to clarify – it’s not her truck. Really. Honestly.

Bio: Kelly was raised in Northern California where she met and married her High School sweetheart, Joel. She has three Sons, two of which are in the military. God brought their family of five to Nampa, ID in 2015 where they found New Hope and started serving right away. God led Kelly to step into the Children’s Ministry Director position in November 2016. She loves serving the New Hope Kids and working with her amazing team of volunteers. Kelly works as VP of Operations in a small California based company and also enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and DIY projects.
