Children’s Ministries

OUR MISSION:

We seek to teach Biblical truth to children at their level.  It is our goal for each child to understand who God is and that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  We also strive to teach your children how to use their Bibles and apply this truth in their daily lives.

Tips for Success:
  • Get a good night’s sleep on Saturday.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast.
  • Be on time!
  • If it is your first visit, please come early to introduce your child to their new environment and to allow time to register your children in the Child Check In system.
  • Bring your Bible.

DURING BOTH WORSHIP SERVICE HOURS:

Newborn-3 years old enjoy time in the nursery, Room 100. Children enjoy toys, books, and a Bible story during the worship time.

Children 4 years old through the 1st grade may either start out in the sanctuary with parents for Corporate Worship or participate the entire service in Sunday School. Children will be dismissed from service after worship to their respective Sunday School Classes. All the children will participate in worship, learn a Bible story and study a memory verse.

Children 2nd grade through 5th grade will stay in the sanctuary with parents for corporate worship.

Sunday School is also provided during the Sunday School hour for all ages (pre-K through 2nd grade, and 3rd through 5th grade).

For safety’s sake, we have established a check-in system. Children can be checked in before service begins or when dismissed from worship. Children will only be released to their parents or siblings 16 years and older when the matching pick-up tag is matched. During the fellowship time between services, parents are welcome to leave their children in the SS classrooms. Our teachers remain in the classrooms for supervision. Use of the check-in system will not be required for the second service hour if both the child and parent still have matching tags from the 1st service hour.

Please notify staff if your child has allergies we need to be aware of.

**Hot chocolate will no longer be allowed in the classrooms, due to too many spills.**

To ensure the safety of your children, we require all children’s workers to fulfill the following requirements:
  • Be a member of New Hope Baptist Church
  • Complete a Children’s Ministry application
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Conduct an interview with the Children’s Ministry Director

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any teacher or helper in the children’s department or contact Kelly Jackson, our Children’s Ministry Director.
