Everyone is welcome to join us at 11:00am on Sunday mornings for SS hour. This new class is on Living 1 Peter 3:15. Ken & Dan will lead us through basic answers to simple questions about the hope we have in Christ. Everyone is invited.
A new study from the Gospel of Matthew called “Follow Me” by Elizabeth Ficken will be starting up on April 26th. It will take place on Monday’s at the church from noon to 2pm and 6:30-8:30pm. Sharon Yoast will be facilitating it and the cost is $17.00 for the workbook. Visit the welcome table in the foyer to sign up or call the office if you have any questions. Below is a little more about the study from Elizabeth.
What did Jesus say that caused men to abandon their jobs and embrace this extreme calling? And what did Jesus do that made people flock to be near Him? Why did Jesus befriend twelve men and mentor them for three years? Why did Jesus make enemies with religious leaders? Why did Jesus endure betrayal, torture and death? What happened after He died?
Who was this man and what would He say to you?
This in-depth study of the gospel of Matthew will give you the answers to these questions and challenge you to a more passionate commitment to Jesus. You will learn from Matthew’s eye-witness perspective, his proofs from Old Testament Scriptures, and his presentation of five Sermons of Jesus, just Who Jesus is, what He did, and what He said. Matthew’s life was drastically changed from his encounter with Jesus. Yours will be too.

On March 14th, a member vote was conducted per the constitution in calling Daniel Powell to be Senior Pastor. His call was confirmed by 100% of the members present that voted and he has graciously accepted that call.
The Elders of NHBC, the leadership team, the pastor search team proclaim our thankfulness and praise to our God for His faithful leading and sovereign will in bringing Daniel Powell to lead the Lord’s church here at New Hope as Senior Pastor.
Our family here at New Hope has been through a lot this past year, but our heart and desire has been to faithfully proclaim His word and hold fast to His name. Thank you, Paul, for your commitment to proclaiming His word to us. Our God has faithfully protected and sustained His church.
Your leadership team is committed to fulfilling our mandate as a church in the mission He has called us to: “New Hope Baptist Church exists to proclaim God’s Word from the Bible in order to grow as fellowship into mature believers who love, worship, and serve Jesus Christ.”
Thank you for your commitment to NHBC in your prayers, service, and support.
Paul Benzel will continue to preach through John, hoping to complete John’s Gospel by late August, early September. Daniel and his family are hoping to be in Nampa and begin serving at the church at the beginning of August.
