Daniel Powell
Pastor / Elder
Daniel grew up in Pocatello, Idaho as the son of a pastor. After graduating from Highland High School, he studied at Moody Bible Institute (BA) and then The Master’s Seminary (MDiv). After seminary, Daniel, his wife Rachel, and their 5 children served in the Middle East for almost 10 years. They served within the local church, teaching and discipling, and Daniel served as a pastor during their final years. They also helped start a TMAI pastoral training institute through Grace Ministries International. Their family moved back to the States during the summer of 2021 when Daniel became the Senior Pastor at New Hope Baptist Church.
Daniel is passionate about the glory of Christ. He desires to see God exalted and the church purified through the preaching of the Word and discipleship. He wants to see the church unified as individuals grow together into a life of single-minded devotion to God so that the glory of God may be put on display before a watching world.
Ken Barnes
Elder
Ken and his lovely bride, Cindy, moved to Nampa from Wyoming in 1999, and started attending New Hope Baptist just a couple of months after their arrival. Ken’s background includes degrees in Math and Physical Science. He has taught Math and Computer Science at the high school and collegiate levels, and today sometimes teaches Computers, Math, Astronomy and Chemistry in a local homeschool co-op, which has involved all 4 of his kids. Over the years, he has been involved in several ministries, including AWANA, A/V & computer tech, Sunday School teacher, Bible study leader, worship team, apologetics, Deacon, and Elder. His current ministry focus is Apologetics, and more specifically, training others to know, share and defend the Word of God.
Dan Holly
Elder
Dan and his wife, Raynee, have attended New Hope Baptist Church since April 2018. He has a passion for apologetics and a desire to share God’s Word with others. As such, he currently serves in the Men’s Ministry, Children’s Ministry and AWANA. In addition, he also works with the Creation Training Initiative organization. Dan proudly served in the U.S. Navy and has a love for reading.
Jeff Price
Elder
Jeff married his bride, Danielle in 1996 and they have 2 adult children. They moved to Idaho in 2019 and love the country life. God has given Jeff a passion to train and disciple men in the Word of God and raise up godly men to serve the local church. He has served in various ministries throughout the years. After God saved him in 2002, by His grace, Jeff jumped into High School ministry where he served for 8 years. With his Bachelors in Theology, in 2011, he began a 3 year process of training for ministry called The Training Center in Murrieta, Ca. Prior to moving to Idaho, Jeff served the church as the leader over Community Groups (Life Groups), as a mentor in The Training Center, discipling and serving in the Young Marrieds Ministry and leading Men’s Bible studies.

Tony Hensley
Deacon
Tony was born and raised in Idaho and took a couple out-of-state detours after high school before settling in Nampa with his wife, Yvette and their 4 children. He and his family started attending New Hope in 2013 and he currently serves as a Deacon as well as the Youth Director. Tony’s hobbies include anything to do with guns, enjoying the outdoors and a love of bacon.
Peter Jurhs
Deacon
Peter grew up in McMinnville, Oregon and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics in 1998. He and his wife, Adria, have 4 children and have been attending and serving together in various roles at New Hope since 2010. Peter has been serving as a deacon since 2013. Peter enjoys reading science fiction, taking his boys fishing, rooting for the Braves, and anything geeky.

Linnae Wilcox
Deaconess
Linnae was raised in Iowa and moved to Nampa in 1982. God drew her back to serving Him in the local church body at New Hope in 2014. She has enjoyed being involved in various Children’s Ministries including AWANA, Sunday School, VBS, and Operation Christmas Child. More recently, she serves as a Treasurer for New Hope. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, working in the yard, 4 wheeling and shopping.
Raynee Holly
Deaconess
Raynee was born in Southern California and moved to Nampa with her husband Dan in 2018. She worked in the aerospace industry in CA for 30 years. She has served in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years. Currently, she serves as a Sunday School teacher, AWANA teacher and on the communion team. She absolutely loves being a wife, mother and grandma and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and watching anything to do with mystery.
Danielle Price
Deaconess
Danielle and her husband, Jeff, moved to Idaho in 2019 and have 2 adult children, Jacob & Kailee. Danielle was saved at 19 years old while attending Point Loma University in San Diego, Ca. She desires to live her life to the glory of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and is passionate about God’s Word. She has served the local church in various ministries throughout the years in High School, Women’s Ministry, Young Mom’s Ministry, Young Marrieds and Community Groups (Life Groups).
