Steps to Salvation

What is the Gospel?

Good news! You can be saved from your sin and its ultimate penalty!

The word "gospel" simply means "good news," and that's exactly what it is. If you understand and believe it, the gospel is the best news that you will ever hear! It is this good news that gives you the ability to find, to know, and to love God, not to mention escaping your bondage to sin, and the ultimate penalty of that sin: eternal death and separation from God.

The following are the essential points of this "Good News" that God graciously gives us in the Bible:

  • God created and owns everything, including you. – Genesis 1:1, Psalm 24:1
  • God is perfectly holy. – Matthew 5:48
  • God requires your perfect obedience to His law. – James 2:10
  • You have broken God’s law. – Romans 3:10; 23
  • You will pay the eternal penalty for your sin. – Romans 6:23
  • You cannot save yourself by your good works. – Titus 3:5
  • Christ came to earth as both God and sinless man. – Colossians 2:9
  • Christ demonstrated His love by dying on the cross to pay sin’s penalty. – Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21
  • Christ rose from the grave and is alive today. – 1 Corinthians 15:4
  • You must repent of all that dishonors God. – Isaiah 55:7; Luke 9:23
  • You must believe in Christ as Lord and Savior, and be willing to follow after Him. - Romans 10:9

We welcome you to call our office for more information, and to speak with someone about additional questions you may have.

Saturday July 22, 2017

JOIN US SUNDAY: 1829 W IOWA AVE NAMPA ID   |   2 Services – 9:-00am and 10:45am with Sunday School for all ages during both services

OUR MISSION:

We seek to teach Biblical truth to children at their level.  It is our goal for each child to understand who God is and that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  We also strive to teach your children how to use their Bibles and apply this truth in their daily lives.

Tips for success:

  • Get a good night’s sleep on Saturday.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast.
  • Be on time!
  • If it is your first visit, please come early to introduce your child to their new environment.
  • Bring your Bible.

DURING BOTH WORSHIP SERVICE HOURS:

Newborn-3 years old enjoy time in the nursery, Room 100. Nursing mothers are welcome to use our screened section in the nursery during the service. Children enjoy toys, books, a Bible story and small snack during the worship time.

Children 4 years old through the 5th grade may either start out in the sanctuary with parents for Corporate Worship or participate the entire service in Sunday School. Children will be dismissed from service after worship to their respective Sunday School Classes. All the children will participate in worship, learn a Bible story and study a memory verse.

For safety’s sake, we have established a check-in system. Children can be checked in before service begins or when dismissed from worship. Children will only be released to their parents or siblings 16 years and older when the matching pick-up tag is matched. Children must be picked up within 5 minutes after service to allow for staffing changes. During the fellowship time between services, parents must keep children with them. Children may be taken back to Sunday School for the second hour no sooner than 10:35am. Use of the check-in system will not be required for the second service hour if both the child and parent still have matching tags from the 1st service hour.

If preschoolers need assistance in the bathroom, parents will need to sign their child’s name on the clip board in the classroom.
Please notify staff if your child has allergies we need to be aware of.

**Hot chocolate will no longer be allowed in the classrooms, due to too many spills.**

To ensure the safety of your children, we require all children’s workers to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Be a member of New Hope Baptist Church
  • Complete a Children’s Ministry application
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Conduct an interview with the Sunday School Coordinator

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any teacher or helper in the children’s department or contact Kelly Jackson, our Sunday School Coordinator.
